cuerators all your ears belong to us.

Thank you, Chicago.

We just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of the beautiful people that came out to our event last week.We knew that the show was going to be wonderful and how couldn’t it be? We had the gentlemen over at FEx helping us put the whole event together and even had their DJs, Itzi Nallah and Newlife, spinning at the show. We also had Chicago’s very own Sidewalk Chalk opening up and lending out a helpful hand.  And of course, we all came out to catch Hiatus Kaiyote on their first trip to the U.S. Seems like that would have been enough to make a great show, right? Well, it was but, as it turned out, we all got a memorable concert. And that was thanks to you.

Itzi and Newlife laid down amazing sets and had the room filled with great sounds from the minute the doors opened. Then came all of you, who bought every available ticket and welcomed both bands to a sold-out Double Door … on a cold Tuesday night. Each of you brought so much positive energy which raised the event up and made it more than just a concert, you made it a celebration. We were all united to celebrate diverse and new music which is what this site is all about. It was amazing to see that manifest in person. You lifted the bands up. Sidewalk Chalk gave us one of their best performances ever and Hiatus Kaiyote made everyone fall in love with them all over again …they even played new tracks for everyone! Usually, when a concert ends, people just go home but, not at this one. People stayed to dance and that is what made the biggest impression on us. Thank you all for sharing your energy with us and helping make this so special for everyone involved. Thank you for turning the concert into a celebration. Thank you for opening up your arms and giving both bands and both DJs so much love.
